News / Microsoft’s Retail Industry Executive Will Roche Joins Raymark

PRESS RELEASE

Montreal, Monday, January 23, 2012 -Raymark, a leading retail solutions provider, is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Will Roche to the position of Senior Vice President. Roche is a passionate, creative leader who has been heavily-involved for the past three years in the conceptualization of Raymark's customer centric CRM solution built on the Microsoft Dynamics platform.

Having attended Clayton State University and Harvard Business School, Roche brings with him 33 years of IT experience garnered at both IBM and Microsoft. His retail life began at IBM in the early eighties with the introduction of the first PC-based POS system, the 4680. He was responsible for managing the operating system and applications teams for IBM's 4680 solution support worldwide, as well as for the development of fee-based operational service offerings for retailers, product development, and the introduction of IBM's first open architecture POS system for small and mid-size retailers called the SureOne. Most notably, Roche headed up the partnership development of the first of its kind value added industry distribution channel with then start-up ScanSource based on the emerging "open system" Microsoft platform.

In 2002, Roche started at Microsoft, where he led a team charged with managing all of the top retail and hospitality independent software vendors (ISV's) worldwide. In 2008, he was promoted into Microsoft's Dynamics division, leading Microsoft's entry into the retail enterprise applications business with direct involvement in application software acquisitions, partner channel development, marketing and brand awareness, keynote public speaking and publication syndication.

"Raymark's long-standing partnership with Microsoft has resulted in a strong and strategic collaboration between the two companies," says Will Roche, Raymark's Senior Vice President. "During my involvement with Raymark while employed at Microsoft, I always admired their foresight providing retailers with leading-edge solutions built on Microsoft's infrastructure and tools. Raymark is keenly positioned to provide the required business transformation platforms for the retail market during this next historic point of inflection. They listen to their customers, and in turn provide them with the technology required to provide the game changing and differentiated services required to lead the way! As someone who is and has been heavily-focused on customer centricity, Raymark is my kind of company. I am very glad to be joining such an innovative, capable and customer-driven organization as this next step in my personal journey."

"As we continue to grow and develop new, ground-breaking products, we are proud to be adding an industry thought leader like Will Roche to our organization," states Marc Chriqui, Raymark's President. "His combination of expertise and insight will make him a valuable member of our executive team.
