Raymark was pleased to exhibit at The National Retail Federation’s Big Show 2012 on January 16th - January 17th, 2012, in New York City. This year’s show offered more than ever before. Raymark attends Gartner Local Briefing "Perspectives on Cloud Computing"

On May 10th Raymark attended a Gartner Local Briefing in Montreal entitled 'Perspectives in Cloud Computing'. Presenters Robert Langlois, VP and Executive Partner, discussed the optimization of IT assets and questioned if Cloud Computing was the only answer. Whilst he revealed research citing cloud computing as the number 1 priority for CIOs in 2011, he warned that a rip and replace model is not always best, suggesting instead a hybrid model mixing in house, outsourced, offshored and public and private cloud hosting. Robert was followed by Carl Claunch, VP & Distinguished Analyst, who gave a presentation entitled 'Bringing Cloud to Earth: Practical Advice'. He advised that IT departments reconnect price with value rather than price with cost when choosing their IT services, recommending that they consider the following: Governance - when, where and how retailers consume cloud services; Infrastructure and Operations - the extent to which cloud models drive the design of data centers; Security - what can be done to assess and mitigate risks; and finally - The Application Strategy - considering the optimization of services. Importantly he advises that CIOs should be considering how and when, and not if, they adopt a cloud computing strategy in order to effectively manage their IT operations.

Raymark Attended CHIC2011 with State-of-the-art Software Solutions for Apparel Retailers

Raymark participated in CHIC2011 (China International Clothing & Accessories Fair) in Beijing from March 28th to March 31st. As the largest and one of the most important fashion fairs in Asia, the 4-day event has been successfully held for 18 years and attracted over 1000 companies from 19 countries and regions this year.

This year was Raymark’s first time exhibiting at the fair. The total enterprise-level solutions as well as professional services we offered impressed visitors who came to our booth.  “It’s really a complete set of solutions for apparel business and is just what we are looking for”, a visitor said.  At the fair, visitors had an opportunity to see a demo of Xpert Series™ under the help of our technical support staff in the field, and to get in-depth understanding of our solution concept and technologies.

The fair provided Raymark with a good platform to show the company as well as the professional solutions. Many visitors have expressed their strong interests in Xpert and also expected to cooperate with Raymark in the future.

Are you EMV Compliant in Canada?

Raymark customers in Canada are more than ready for the chip and pin liability shift

 

For the past year Raymark has worked closely with Canadian clients using Raymark’s store operations and epayment processing solutions to ensure they will be EMV - chip and pin compliant by the October 11, 2010  deadline, later extended to March 31, 2011. Early in 2010 Raymark provided consultations to inform customers using Xpert-Series™ and Xpert-ePayment™ of the anticipated certifications and changes they would need to make to be EMV compliant for the initial October 2010 deadline, at which time the liability for fraudulent transactions will shift to merchants that have not implemented Chip & PIN devices.


Raymark worked with bank processors used by our clients and strived to achieve compliance crucial for retailers. Raymark migrated its clients and completed all EMV obligations before the initial October 11, 2010 deadline. Raymark customers can rest assured that they are compliant with the new standards as provided by Raymark’s partners and solutions. Meeting the deadline without delay allowed Raymark to deploy, train and mentor all levels of staff and resources leading up to  the March 31 deadline.
