PRESS RELEASE
MONTREAL, Canada, April 23, 2009 - Raymark, a leading global provider of
advanced retail software solutions, proudly announces its partnership with Toshiba
TEC, whose retail hardware division provides point-of-sale (POS) terminals and electronic
cash registers to retailers. This strategic partnership strengthens Raymark’s presence
in Asia, where retailers have been successfully using its software for over twelve
years.
“Its longstanding global presence in the retail software industry makes Raymark
an ideal partner for us,” states Daigoro Suetsugu, Toshiba TEC’s senior manager
of Retail Solution Business Group, International Operations. “This collaboration
will permit both our companies to offer a broader range of products and services
to retailers in our Asian markets.”
“Establishing a partnership with a hardware vendor like Toshiba TEC allows us to
offer our Asian customers a strong, complete retail solution that is easier to deploy
and support on a local level,” says Claude Chriqui, Raymark’s CEO. “Our first joint
implementation for Guess Taiwan was a great success, and we look forward to more
shared implementations in the near future. Providing localized service to our international
customers is just one more way Raymark is equipping them to handle the challenges
of conducting business on a global scale.”“
