Project Manager

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Director of Professional Services, the qualified person must

  • Schedule deadlines related to activities such as client implementations and internal projects, estimate the risks and ensure that the flow of activities conforms to the deadlines.
  • Coordinate and ensure a seamless unfolding of the project, the developments transition, the ordering of materials, the implementation and installation, up until the customer service department takes over the client.
  • Help the client identify and establish the priorities of the project.
  • Ensure that the expectations of the project are clearly defined and understood by the team assigned to the project and that the functional specifications correspond to the priorities.
  • Carry out a follow-up and prepare reports on the project’s progress, cost, advancement on tasks and expected dates of delivery.
  • Resolve with the client all problems encountered, including all modifications to the initial deadlines.
  • Management of different internal company projects: follow-up on the development of new versions and applications.
  • Ensure periodic invoicing on completed works.
  • Perform general tests on the application before sending it to the client.
  • Prepare control lists for the Customer Service department.
  • Determine project delivery dates in collaboration with other departments.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • C.É.G.E.P. degree (minimum).
  • 5 to 6 years experience in the retail industry. Knowledgeable in commercial applications (preferably retail).
  • Willing to travel frequently.
  • 2 to 3 years experience in project management.
  • General knowledge of computer development and the management of operational procedures.
  • Strong aptitude in planning and managing.
  • Fluently bilingual – oral and written communication (English/French).
  • Knowledgeable in the following tools: MS Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project.

Product Specialist / Trainer

Start date: To be confirmed

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the training and carry out the implementation of new clients.
  • Train users at client sites and in-house staff.
  • Follow up with clients.
  • Prepare and update documentation necessary for training.
  • Learn applications and prepare the training plans.
  • Test applications.
  • Present our products to clients and prospects.
  • Provide support to different teams within the company.
  • Communicate any bugs to the programmers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in the retail and customer service fields.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable with popular software applications.
  • Available to travel frequently.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Store Operations, Purchasing, Open to Buy, Replenishment, Warehouse Processing, Inventory Control.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.

Technical Writer

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create technical documents in French or English, as needed.
  • Translate existing documentation from English to French.
  • Describe the applications and write the user manual and instruction screens, documentation of applications, commercial and internal documents.
  • Provide copy editing support for development, professional services and sales departments.
  • Participate in usability tests.
  • Prepare the documentation for a final electronic publication.
  • Carry out the updates and the modifications of the guides, handbooks and on line help during the changes brought to the application or during the delivery of new versions.
  • Establish and adhere to standards, templates and guidelines.
  • Work closely with other technical writers to coordinate documentation updates.
  • Work in close cooperation with the members of development teams. Provide feedback to the development teams with respect to software usability.
  • Work alone or in a team environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be bilingual with excellent communication skills in both French and English and will possess the following qualifications:

  • BA in French or English, Translation or Communication.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in technical writing, with end-user documentation.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong familiarity with other standard documentation tools: Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Snagit.
  • Ability to understand, correlate and effectively present complex concepts.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Framemaker, Robohelp (essential).
  • Knowledge of internet and “markup” language (essential).
  • Must provide writing samples at interview.

ASP.NET Developer (Senior)

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Director of Production, the qualified person must

  • Be able to work with ASP.NET 2.0, AJAX, .NET Framework 2.0, C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server, HTML, JS, DHTML, .NET globalization concepts (Culture, Resource files, etc.) and XML Web Services.
  • Have the knowledge of cross-browser CSS/JavaScript development.
  • Have experience with object-oriented development and database schema design.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast pace team setting, be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and eager to learn.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • C.É.G.E.P. degree (minimum) or equivalent.

Programmer Analyst

  • Perform feasibility analysis of proposed development projects.
  • Perform the analysis, design and development of commercial applications according to specifications.
  • Maintenance and support of applications.
  • Perform unit testing.
  • Document the development of applications.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or computer engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in programming.
  • Good knowledge of PowerBuilder.
  • Good knowledge of VB, C++, MS-SQL.
  • Knowledge of the retail industry an asset.
  • Bilingual (French, English).
